The quiet of nature. The chill of the night air that tells you you&#8217;re alive.<\/p>\n<p>A few months ago I decided to climb Cascade Mountain late in the evening to take some pictures.\u00a0 It was the night of a full moon and I had always wanted to try to re-create Nathan Farb&#8217;s &#8220;View From Cascade&#8221; by moonlight.<\/p>\n<p>Well, here it is:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-378\" src=\"https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/cascadeviewmoonlightweb-1024x677.jpg\" alt=\"cascadeviewmoonlightweb\" width=\"728\" height=\"481\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/cascadeviewmoonlightweb-1024x677.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/cascadeviewmoonlightweb-300x198.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/cascadeviewmoonlightweb-728x481.jpg 728w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A cool beautiful night.\u00a0 I loved the experience.\u00a0 While I was waiting for the moon to rise I took a couple of sunset shots of Lake Placid.\u00a0 The first is an extreme wide-angle:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/lakeplacidsunsetweb.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-379\" src=\"https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/lakeplacidsunsetweb-1024x686.jpg\" alt=\"lakeplacidsunsetweb\" width=\"728\" height=\"488\" srcset=\"https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/lakeplacidsunsetweb-1024x686.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/lakeplacidsunsetweb-300x201.jpg 300w, https:\/\/tomwolosz.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/10\/lakeplacidsunsetweb-728x488.jpg 728w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 728px) 100vw, 728px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Just about the center of the frame is Lake Placid.\u00a0 As the night darkened the lights began to go on and I decided that was also worth a shot.
